Your Identity
Establishing an online
storefront, and bringing them in the door
The first stop along the way
establishing your online identity, which entails the following:
- Create your image/name - You
need an Internet name and image, which becomes your domain
name.
- Set up your e-address - It's
better to have an address that reflects your business name
or service, e.g. "@yourfirm.com", rather than "@aol.com."
- Register your domain name -
Once this is done, you can create a brand and image around
it.
- Build your e-front office -
Launch a website that conveys your value and sets the tone
for your practice. You have two options, (1) develop a
customized site, or (2) obtain a site from a site-builder
service. The second option will at least accomplish the
requirements of Stop 1 .
- Develop your e-brochure - On
your website, create marketing materials for you
business---promote the services you provide.
